Greetings Union Beach 5k Runners!

We’re looking forward to a great event on Saturday and have outlined some useful information to help you navigate through race day.
Packet Pick Up:
Friday, June 24, 5:00pm-9:00pm at Union Hose Fire Co. #1 located at 1224 Florence Ave., Union Beach
Saturday, June 25 7:30am-8:45am in the start area (along the Henry Hudson Trail between Spruce & Wilson Streets)
Please note Race Day Registration is available from 7:30am-8:45am – cash or check only!!
We have four (4) parking lots available for race day parking. Please try to utilize these lots. If you opt for street parking instead, please be considerate of driveways and all parking rules. Most streets in Union Beach only permit parking on one side. If at all possible, carpool!
Lots 1 &2: Holy Family Church commuter (dirt) lot and church overflow (paved) lot, Seagate Ave (corner of Washington Ave.) off Hwy 36 on the northbound side. The dirt lot will be on your right and the paved lot on your left. Please do not park in the lot adjacent to the church! There will be a Union Beach 5k sign indicating that you are in the right spot. Plan for a 7-10 minute walk to the Start area. Thank you to Holy Family Church for permission to use this lot.
Lots 3&4: IFF Back Plant lots. These lots are on Rose Lane off of Hwy 36 on the Northbound side. For GPS directions use 800 Rose Lane. There will be one lot on the left and one on the right of Rose Lane. It is a 10 minute walk down Jersey Ave to get to the Start/Finish area. There will be a Union Beach 5k sign letting you know you are in the right spot! A great big thank you to Race Sponsor IFF for allowing us to use their property!
Thanks to Johnny on the Spot, we have plenty of port-a-potties in the Start/Finish area.
Race Day Schedule:
Packet pick up & registration begins at 7:30am.
Race starts at 9:00am for runners. Walkers will line up behind the runners and start 2 minutes later. Strollers are welcome however, we ask that all strollers line up at the back of your respective group.
Kiddie Dashes will start at approximately 10:00am at the conclusion of the 5k events.
Post Race Party 11:00am-1:00pm, Ader’s Tavern (details below).
EMS will be on site if anyone is in need of assistance.
Water will be near miles 1 and 2 and at the finish.
Sports AMTANJ will be on site before and after the race! Be sure to stop by their tent and get treated to a sport massage!
Post-Race Party at Ader’s Tavern, 1321 Florence Ave. from 11:00am-1:00pm. Light snacks and drink specials will be offered. The full menu is available for personal orders. Thank you Ader’s, we are very grateful for your hospitability, support and generosity!!
